GuardianLink.io, an ecosystem technological framework for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has launched the first-ever metaverse wedding NFT collection on its marketplace platform, Beyondlife.Club. Dinesh Kshatriya and Janaganandhini Ramaswamy will host their Hogwarts-themed virtual wedding on 6 February 2022, making it Asia’s first wedding celebration in the Metaverse.
The NFT collection will be an artwork featuring backgrounds and attires from the Harry Potter and cyberpunk eras, as well as traditional wedding apparel showcasing the bride, groom, and the bride’s late father, and will be sponsored by the crypto trading site CoinSwitch Kuber.
This NFT collection includes 12 NFTs, including 11 unique (ERC 721) NFTs of the bride and groom’s virtual avatars projected in traditional and western clothes with and without the bride’s late father, and one 50-copy NFT of the wedding invitation (ERC 1155).
As many as 50 copies of the same were sold for $10 each, and one of them was re-sold on GuardianLink.io’s secondary marketplace for $100 in less than a second. Also, one of the $10 invitations is currently being traded for $4,450, nearly 400 times its original price.
“We have been working on blockchain technology for the past several years and this wedding concept is only the beginning of a new arena in the fast-growing world of NFTs and Metaverse,” Ramkumar Subramaniam, co-founder, and CEO of GuardianLink.io said of the metaverse wedding.
GuardianLink.io’s Anti-RIP NFT technology developed and will monitor the NFT collection. The technique protects the rights of the NFT’s owner by preventing it from being copied, which is currently an issue in the NFT landscape.
